Getting Lost

I’m not the best at following directions or reading maps. You could even say I’m directionally challenged at times. I’ve gotten lost many times due to wrong directions, confusing transit systems, and not actually paying attention to where I was going.

Travel Bucketlist

I have to say that 2017 was by far my best traveled year so far. Never have I visited so many different places in the span of one year! It has definitely changed the way I view the world and also has made me a better traveller.

Last year's adventures included Taiwan, Tokyo, Malaysia, Thailand and Mexico. Not bad for one year! However, this year I have some new travel destination goals. As you know, in the next month or two I will be moving from South Korea to Japan. That is an adventure in itself, but there are still so many places I want to explore while I am in this part of the world. See below for places I want to travel to this year!

Vietnam

Whether you call it the Land of the Dragon or Land of Ancient Secrets, Vietnam is high on my list of places to visit this year.  Stunning landscapes, relaxing beaches, amazing food, and budget friendly are just some of the reasons I would like to visit Vietnam this year.

Cambodia

Cambodia is known for its ancient Angkor Wat Temples, which are Cambodia's National symbol. Some of temples are restored while others have massive trees and jungle vines growing through them. I would also like to check out Siem Reap and the Khmer cuisine.

Singapore

While I love visiting beach towns and being surrounded by nature, I also like to visit big cities when traveling. I come from a big city, Chicago, so I always feel a little at home in such a bustling place. Singapore is known for its architecture, nightlife, warm weather, shopping, and amazing street food. Its also the home of many cultures flourishing together in one city.

Hong Kong

Speaking of cities, Hong Kong has been high on my must-visit list for a while. This city is packed with so many things: its beautiful harbors and skyline, street markets, ferry rides, trolleys, and many festivals throughout the year. I'm in.

The Islands

There are so many islands to visit in South/Southeast Asia! Bali and the Maldives are places that I want to travel to and just relax. If there are clear waters, sandy beaches, fresh fruit and drinks, and a hammock or lounge chair- I'm sold.

So there you have it! These are some of the destinations on my list for places I'd like to visit this year. Hopefully, I can visit all of them plus more. Have you been to any of these places? I'd love to hear any and all recommendations. Leave a comment below :)
